Rebekka's own artistic productions are created in a wide variety of contexts and often through interdisciplinary collaborations. Inspired by people, nature, science and different places, she creates dance theatre, installative and site-specific performances, experimental dance films and vertical/aerial dance performances at lofty heights. Interested in different realities and perceptions of the (surrounding) world, she focuses on the physical and theatrical potentials of the body and explores an emotional and abstract way of storytelling.
From 2009 to 2013, she was part of the artist collective mind_the_gut, where she realised cross-genre works in collaboration with Johanna Roggan and artists from art disciplines such as film, music, interactive design, acting and more.
Additionally, Rebekka works in the fields of cultural education (e.g., Neue Nationalgalerie), concept development, and project coordination. She has organized cultural, dance and exhibition events, coordinated festivals, and assisted in dance and theater productions.
Furthermore, she teaches contemporary dance both in Germany and abroad, leads workshops and performance projects, and works as a circus trainer. She regularly develops performative and circus-related works with young people and teaches dance on elastic/static ropes, incorporating the play of the flying body.
